Once Milano at the London Design Festival 14-22 September 2013

Once Milano is thrilled to announce its participation in the London Design Festival (LDF), one of the most glamorous and exciting events on the design calendar in London.

Once Milano will exhibit its unique products at Mint, renowned interior design destination for contemporary collectors and lifestyle lovers.

During LDF, Mint will showcase an international and eclectic selection of works, inspired by the theme ‘curiosity and wonder’. The curiosity to try different styles, products and colours represents Once Milano’s life.style.

We invite you to explore Mint’s Cabinets of Curiosity and find Once Milano’s colourful quilts, elegant throws, crispy bed linen and soft towels.

Wrap up in the rich colours of Once Milano’s winter collection

The various shades of the winter collection evoke the intense colours of a crisp, cold winter day; the deep reds, yellows and oranges are reminiscent of a winter sunset whilst the white and beige hues, accompanied by warm browns, conjure images of trees dusted with snow.

Once Milano sponsored a "going back to Italian traditions" event in historic Italian Palazzo.

Designed for children, the unique event took place at the Libreria Palazzo Roberti, one of Europe's most beautiful bookshops, located in Bassano del Grappa fifty kilometres north of Venice. The Palazzo, dating to 1663, has over the centuries hosted famous artists and writers such as Antonio Canova and Giovanni Poleni, and is home to frescos from Giovanni Scajaro (a pupil of Tiepolo) and statues by Orazio Marinali.

An important focus for cultural events throughout the year, Libreria Palazzo Roberti continues to attract some of Italy’s most established and renown artists and writers.  The joint event with Once Milano celebrated the old traditions by inviting children to listen to old stories, to read children’s books, and using essential accessories, such as the much sought after Once Milano aprons and tea towels in their warm new winter colours, to get their hands at work in making delicious Italian “tagliatelle”.

Once Milano is once again embracing a journey into the almost forgotten traditions, into nature at its best with its products and powerful winter colours. Whether wearing an apron, using a tea towel or snuggling in bed linen designed and made with care that dates back in time evoking the best of Italian textile tradition, Once Milano costumers will feel an integral part of that journey and get a taste of simple and basic things like making “pasta” and reading a book before falling asleep.

Our double-sided quilts are made of 100% linen with a soft padding in between. They come in any single colour from our range or can be custom made with any two-colour combination, so that you can use either side to create your own look (for example white and yellow or light green and dark green, or beige and cream and many more tasteful combinations).
